🐾 Creekside Life Update: Where Are They Now? Meet Rosemary (Now Rosie!) 🐾
Some stories stay with you forever. ❤️
If you’ve been part of the Creekside family for a while, you may remember a sweet dog named Rosemary.
Back in October 2024, Rosemary was found as a stray by our friends at Tri-State Therapeutic Riding Center. She was in rough shape, and with shelters already overflowing, we knew her chances of finding help were slim. So we said yes.
Through the support of Creekside Care Alliance 501(c)(3), Rosemary came into foster care with us and immediately began receiving the treatment and love she desperately needed.
When Rosemary arrived, she was suffering from a severe ear infection and a terrible flea allergy. She had spent so much of her life itching and scratching that she had actually worn down all 16 of her front teeth into tiny little nubbins. In fact, she couldn’t really hurt anyone with a bite even if she wanted to—which was never a concern because she has always been one of the sweetest, gentlest souls we’ve ever met. 🥹
As the weeks passed, her ears healed, her skin improved, and her personality began to shine. But despite all her progress, the holidays arrived and Rosemary was still waiting for a family to call her own.
🎄 Christmas 2024 came and went without an adoption, but thanks to one of our incredibly special clients, Rosemary still experienced a wonderful Christmas filled with love, gifts, and plenty of attention. We will never forget that kindness.
Then came January 25, 2025.
The day Rosemary found her forever home. 🏡❤️
And what a day it was!
Fast forward to June 2026, and we thought everyone would enjoy a little update.
Rosemary—now known as Rosie—is absolutely thriving.
She truly hit the jackpot with her family and is living her very best life. Her coat is gorgeous, healthy, and shiny. The fur that had once been lost from years of untreated allergies has grown back beautifully—including all the fur on her tail! 🎉🐕✨
More importantly, she is happy.
The scared, uncomfortable dog who arrived at Creekside in need of help has become a beloved family member who spends her days surrounded by love, comfort, and security.
Stories like Rosie’s are exactly why Creekside Care Alliance exists.
The donations made to Creekside Care Alliance helped provide her medical care, foster support, treatments, medications, and everything she needed to feel alive again while waiting for her forever family.
Rosie’s story is only one example.
We could tell dozens more.
Every year, we encounter pets who need medical care, temporary foster support, emergency assistance, or simply someone willing to give them a chance. Because of generous donors, we’re able to say “yes” more often.
💙 If you’d like to help us continue helping pets like Rosie, please consider making a donation to Creekside Care Alliance.
Your support directly impacts local animals in need and helps create more happy endings just like this one.
Thank you for helping us turn stories of hardship into stories of hope. 🐾❤️
🎀 Welcome Baby Ruth! 🎀
If you’ve visited Creekside recently, you’ve probably noticed that Dr. Marstin has been missing from the appointment schedule.
We are thrilled to share the reason why!
A few weeks ago, Dr. Marstin and her family welcomed their second baby girl, Ruth, into the world. 💕👶
While many of you know Dr. Marstin as a veterinarian, problem-solver, surgeon, and trusted advisor for your pets, her most important title right now is simply: Mom.
For the next few months, she has traded stethoscopes and exam rooms for diapers, swaddles, midnight feedings, baby snuggles, and all the wonderful chaos that comes with welcoming a newborn into the family.
Big sister Caroline has already embraced her new role with enthusiasm and is doing an amazing job helping keep an eye on Baby Ruth. ❤️
And let’s not forget Bubby, the family’s Golden Retriever, who has taken his promotion to “Chief Baby Security Officer” very seriously. 🐕🦺 He remains close by, carefully monitoring naps, and making sure everyone follows proper baby-inspection protocols.
Mom, baby, dad, and the entire family are doing wonderfully and settling into their new routine.
As many of you know, veterinary medicine is a profession filled with incredible women who often balance demanding careers with the equally demanding responsibilities of motherhood. The compassion, dedication, patience, and resilience required to care for both families and patients is truly remarkable.
We are incredibly proud of Dr. Marstin and grateful that she is able to spend this precious time focusing on her growing family. These early weeks pass quickly, and we’re excited for her to enjoy every moment.
Of course, we know many of you miss seeing her familiar face at your appointments—and she misses all of you, too! 🐾
We are deeply grateful for your patience and understanding as our team works hard to temporarily fill her shoes while she’s away. We have been blessed with an amazing team who have stepped up in a big way to ensure your pets continue receiving the care you’ve come to expect from Creekside.
Dr. Marstin plans to return in early August, rested, recharged, and undoubtedly carrying enough baby photos to fill an entire exam room. 📸💕
Until then, we hope you’ll join us in congratulating the Marstin family on their newest addition.
Welcome to the Creekside family, Ruth. We can’t wait to meet you! 🎀👶🐾
