At Creekside Veterinary Hospital, one of the questions we hear most often is, How do you choose the veterinarians who join your team?

The answer is simple—but not easy.

We aren’t looking for someone to simply fill an appointment schedule. We’re looking for someone who shares our philosophy that pets are family, that medicine should be practiced with integrity and compassion, and that every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and involved in their pet’s care. ❤️

Those qualities can be difficult to find, which is why we’ve been intentional and patient throughout our search.

☀️ Please Help Us Welcome Dr. Darla Fischle!

We’re excited to officially welcome Dr. Darla Fischle as the newest Associate Veterinarian at Creekside Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Fischle grew up just down the road in McDonald, Tennessee, making this community feel very much like home. After completing her undergraduate studies at Southern Adventist University, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree summa cum laude from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine—an accomplishment that reflects both her academic excellence and her dedication to the profession.

While her credentials are impressive, what stood out to us most wasn’t found on a résumé. It was her heart. 💙

Dr. Fischle believes that exceptional veterinary medicine is built on integrity, transparency, and open communication. She understands that every pet, every family, and every situation is unique, and she is passionate about partnering with pet owners to provide individualized care that helps them make confident decisions for their companions.

Her medical interests include small animal general practice as well as exotic small mammal medicine, making her a wonderful resource for families with rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and other pocket pets. 🐶 🐈 🐰 🐭

Outside the hospital, you’ll find Dr. Fischle spending time with her husband and family, caring for their barn animals, and enjoying life here in East Tennessee. In fact, before she had even officially settled into Creekside, she showed up with fresh peaches from her favorite local produce stand to share with the team. 🍑 It was a simple act of kindness that made us smile and reminded us that she was already fitting right in.

If her name or face seems familiar, it may be because her father has cared for our community for many years as a local dentist. Like him, Dr. Fischle understands the importance of building lifelong relationships based on trust, honesty, and service.

🎉 But That’s Not the Only Exciting News…

Many of you have been asking when Dr. Laura Marstin will be returning from maternity leave, and we’re thrilled to share that she’ll be back with us in just a few short weeks, beginning in August!

We know many of our clients—and their pets—have missed seeing her, and we can’t wait to welcome her back to the hospital. 👶 💕

With Dr. Radford, Dr. Marstin, Dr. Fischle, and the incredible Creekside Dream Team working together, we are entering an exciting new season for our hospital. 🤝 This expanded team means greater appointment availability, improved continuity of care, and the ability to continue providing the personalized, relationship-centered medicine you’ve come to expect from Creekside.

As our hospital grows, one thing will never change: our commitment to treating every pet like family and every client like a trusted partner. 🩺 ❤️

Thank you for allowing us to care for the animals you love. We are honored to be part of their lives and remain committed to helping them enjoy More Good Days for years to come.

Please join us in giving Dr. Darla Fischle a warm Creekside welcome—and in celebrating the return of Dr. Laura Marstin. We truly believe the future has never looked brighter for Creekside Veterinary Hospital, and we feel more confident than ever that our team is equipped, available, and ready to help your pets live healthier, happier lives. 🍃 💙
